The flavors of Hill’s Valašská Slivovice Euphoria
To understand the aromas of this eau-de-vie, it seems essential to go back to how it is made. Indeed, Slivovice is a boiled plum alcohol made in the Czech Republic 🍃. Since the middle of the 18th century, it has been made in Moravia, a region of central Europe that today forms the historical eastern region of Czechia.
According to tradition, this alcohol undergoes 3 stages of distillation and 1 stage of fermentation of the ripe plum. It is all these steps that give it this sweet stony scent and its fruity character. On tasting, there is a plum flavor and a mild, slightly aged aroma that is typical of the Slivovice distilleries.
