What is a CBD terpsolator?
The term terpsolator (or terpsolate CBD) refers to a crystallised CBD isolate at over 99% purity into which natural terpenes have been carefully reintroduced after extraction. It sits between pure CBD crystals (odourless and tasteless) and CBD wax (terpene-rich but less CBD-concentrated). The terpsolator combines the best of both : the absolute purity of CBD isolate and the aromatic richness of a complete terpene profile.
What are terpenes and why add them?
Terpenes are the organic compounds responsible for the aromas and flavours of plants. Each hemp strain has a unique terpene profile : limonene brings citrus notes (Lemon Haze), myrcene earthy and fruity aromas (OG Kush), pinene pine and forest notes (Jack Herer). In a pure CBD isolate, these compounds are absent. By reintroducing them precisely in the terpsolator, the complete aromatic experience of a strain is recreated while keeping CBD concentration at its maximum.
How to use CBD terpsolator?
- Vaporisation : place a small amount in the concentrate chamber of a CBD vaporiser at 170-190 degrees C. Terpenes fully express themselves at these temperatures. Combustion is strongly advised against.
- Sublingual : a few crystals under the tongue, held for 60 seconds then swallowed. Effect in 15 to 30 minutes, no equipment needed.
- Oil dilution : blend into a CBD oil or neutral carrier oil to enrich your daily routine with a precise aromatic profile.
