The ingredients for approximately 330 ml of CBD-infused honey
Here we are looking for a pure elixir full of good things. This is why we will limit ourselves to our two super-ingredients, without additives:
- 300 g of quality honey, preferably organic to benefit from all its natural virtues without contaminants;
- 30 ml of CBD oil. Make sure it is food grade, preferably full spectrum, to benefit from the entourage effect of hemp.
The lexicon point Full-spectrum CBD oil contains all the good molecules of the hemp plant, with the exception of THC, which is responsible for its psychotropic effects. We move on to preparing CBD-infused honey
Preheat your honey in a bain-marie, ensuring that the temperature does not exceed 40° C. As with all honey-based recipes, you will need to be very careful not to overheat the ingredients to preserve their enzymes and nutritional properties. On the other hand, it will be necessary to get closer to 40° C so that the honey becomes a little more fluid and thus facilitate the incorporation of full-spectrum CBD oil.
Once the honey is sufficiently liquid, remove it from the heat and add the CBD oil. Mix carefully with a whisk or spoon until the oil is completely integrated into the honey.
Then, transfer the still hot CBD-infused honey into a sterilized glass jar. Close the lid and let cool to room temperature before storing in a cool, dark place. The honey will solidify slightly as it cools. This is completely normal.
The chef's secret For a more aromatic and spicy infusion, you can add herbs or spices, including cinnamon, vanilla or ginger at the same time as the CBD oil. These complementary flavors will enrich the taste profile of your infused honey and increase its benefits tenfold. |
