reconnaître cbd de qualité

Practical guide: 4 tips for recognizing quality CBD

Not all cannabidiol (CBD) products are created equal! Not all of them will plunge you into an interlude of serenity. That's why the 321CBD team has compiled 4 tips to help you recognize quality CBD.

1. Quality CBD is laboratory tested

There is no better guarantee to ensure that the CBD product you are about to purchase meets the quality criteria.

First, identify transparent suppliers, who openly share certificates of analysis on their website or upon request. These documents must be specific to each batch of product, not just a general reference.

Then assess the accreditation of the laboratory, which must be independent. Look for the ISO 17025 standard, which ensures that testing has been carried out to strict international standards.

The certificate must detail not only the concentration of CBD and THC (less than 0.3%, in accordance with the law), but also present a complete profile of other cannabinoids if it is 'a broad or full spectrum CBD product. Look for analyzes of contaminants, such as pesticide residues, heavy metals, residual solvents and microorganisms. This information tells you if the product is of quality.

Remember to check the test date to ensure that the certificates of analysis are recent and reflect the current quality of the product (less than one year old).

At 321CBD, we only offer CBD products tested in independent French laboratories, which validate cannabinoid concentrations, compliance with the THC law and the quality of organoleptic properties!

2. Look for CBD from organic (or responsible) crops

Prefer CBD from regions renowned for their legal cannabis cultures. At 321CBD, we have chosen Liguria, in the northwest of Italy, where all the conditions are met to grow premium quality hemp (sea breeze, temperate climate, soil fertile).

Find out about the growing methods used by the producer. Organic is ideal (even if it is more expensive). You can still have a good CBD product from a crop that is not organic. Just make sure the crop is grown without dangerous pesticides or herbicides. Serious companies provide this information, often on their website.

3. Find out about the CBD extraction process

CO2 and ethanol extraction techniques allow CBD to be well isolated while eliminating possible contaminants. If the product mentions supercritical CO2 extraction, even better. This method ensures the beneficial nutrients of hemp are preserved without harmful residues.

Higher quality products often indicate the type of extraction on their packaging. This transparency is an indicator of trust in the brand. Avoid extractions with hazardous or toxic solvents such as propane, hexane or butane. You won't find that with us!

4. The terpene profile of the CBD product

Terpenes, aromatic compounds present in hemp, contribute to the entourage effect which maximizes the soothing effects of the product. Each terpene has its own characteristics that can influence your experience.

So start by identifying your needs. If you are looking for relaxation, choose terpenes like myrcene or linalool. For a more energizing effect, opt for products rich in limonene or pinene.

The interaction of terpenes with other components of CBD can vary depending on the extraction method and product formulation. Extraction methods that preserve a broad spectrum of compounds (CO2 and ethanol) will be more likely to maintain a terpene-rich profile.
