Its anti-inflammatory properties are very appreciated by the vapoteur. In addition, according to some studies, it has a regulating effect on our immune system.
Discover how to consume this natural component that is cannabidiol!
Ingesting CBD in capsules or capsules
The most widespread use of cannabidiol is oral ingestion. Indeed, there are capsules or capsules containing CBD oil. Just like any other medicine, they are ingested and their membrane is dissolved once in the stomach.
The advantage of this method is that it is convenient, easy, and discreet. For example, you can take your box of capsules to work without anyone noticing that you are consuming CBD during the day, which is much more discreet than a traditional CBD flower. Easy to carry, the capsules can stay in your bag for quick use whenever the need arises. And finally, it is a format that appeals to those who are looking for a neutral product, without taste or smell.
It is really the simplest mode of administration if you begin in the world of CBD. However, the relaxing and anti-inflammatory effects will take a little longer to manifest themselves, as the cannabinoids need to reach your digestive system to be effective.
Consuming CBD in the form of cannabis flower
CBD cannabis flower is similar in every way to THC-rich weed heads, but it does not contain any psychoactives. That said, it is absolutely not recommended to smoke it. To consume CBD flowers in a healthy way, you can still inhale them through a quality vaporizer. This method of consumption is suitable for a specific audience: cannabis users who want to reduce their addiction or replace the contents of their joint with a more beneficial product.
The other option for consuming CBD flowers is through infusion. To make a CBD herbal tea, simply crush them with a grinder and use them as a tea. To optimize the dissolution of cannabinoids in water, and thus, enjoy all the benefits of therapeutic hemp, do not forget to add a fat in your preparation. You can use vegetable oil, butter, milk, or cream. The example of herbal tea is more common, but you can very well incorporate your crumbled CBD flowers into all your recipes.
Consuming CBD wax
The consistency of CBD wax is not really solid or liquid. It is a wax that is actually a crystallized oil. The wax is obtained by supercritical CO2 extraction from hemp. This is a totally ecological technique, and does not affect the sensory qualities of CBD. It allows the extraction of the odorous molecules of the plant.
Wax can be consumed by vaping with a vaporizer or electronic cigarette. It is also possible to inhale it by heating it, or to ingest it via food in order to benefit from its soothing properties.
Firstly, CBD wax can be consumed as a dab. To do this, you'll need a dab rig, bong, or dabber that can hold this concentrated form of cannabis.
Secondly, you can mix your CBD wax with an e-liquid to consume through an electronic cigarette. That said, this method requires some technical knowledge, as you must mix the wax with propylene glycol, and respect a precise dosage, namely: 200 mg of CBD maximum for 5 ml of propylene glycol.
Thirdly, you can use a vaporizer to consume your CBD wax, as with flowers and resins. You just need to make sure you choose a vaporizer that fits all forms of hemp and their burn point. Ideal for beginners, the vaporizer is very easy to use, and it's a great investment for your health. Put your CBD wax in the small container provided, heat up your vaporizer, and all you have to do is inhale.
Finally, the last method of consuming CBD wax is through ingestion. You can incorporate it in small quantities in your culinary preparations, the aromas and effects of CBD will be perfectly preserved. To feel the first relaxing effects, you will have to wait at least 1 hour, the time that the cannabinoids reach your digestive system.
Use CBD paste or CBD resin
Alongside CBD flower, you will surely find CBD paste. It looks suspiciously like hashish and takes the form of a resin. You can consume it by inhalation using a vaporizer. The method of administration is similar to that of the flowers, so you can choose between inhalation, infusion in your hot drinks, or incorporation in your culinary preparations.
To vaporize, start by getting a quality vaporizer. Crumble your CBD resin into crumbs, then place the product in the container provided. Pack the product well, but don't put too much in either, as this can interfere with the proper combustion of the product. And if you don't put enough in, the vaporization won't be effective either. Fill the tank thoroughly, close it, and heat up your vaporizer.
If your vaporizer has built-in temperatures, you won't have to do anything. If not, you should always set the temperature between 160 and 220 degrees Celsius. Below 160 degrees, the vaporization will not work, and above 220 degrees, you will burn the resin and irritate your throat. Of course, you can adjust the temperature according to your feeling.
Vaporize CBD in the form of e-liquid
The electronic cigarette comes in a wide range of varieties and nowadays, it can also consume CBD. Indeed, after the capsules, the CBD vape is a mode of consumption rather widespread in the country. So much so, that now the purchase of CBD e-liquid for electronic cigarettes is allowed in France.
The liquids for electronic cigarette CBD come in two types:
- The booster version which contains a high concentration of CBD and is used in the company of a neutral base, or even an e-liquid already prepared
- The classic e-liquid, it is bought ready and has different rates of CBD
Inhaling cannabidiol by vaping
You already know the e-liquid containing CBD, but have you ever heard of the vaporizer? It is used with CBD crystals, cannabidiol flower or CBD resin. It comes to heat the product to allow you a smooth inhalation and rich in active ingredients.
The best thing about this method is that it allows you to enjoy the unique flavours of cannabis, without any danger to your health. No combustion, no irritation. No smoking, no nicotine addiction. Only the therapeutic properties and unique flavors of hemp are available to you when you use a vaporizer. If you are a former smoker or you are in the process of quitting smoking, this is probably the best solution to keep the sensations close to the smoke of a joint, but in a totally healthy version.
As previously explained, you just need to crumble your CBD flowers evenly, then place them in the tank provided. Once you've properly prepared your flowers, you can preheat your vaporizer to between 160 and 220 degrees Celsius. If your flowers are quite dry, don't hesitate to lower the temperature, and conversely if your flowers are too wet.
Prefer the consumption of CBD oil
CBD oils are practical, as they can be used in different ways. First of all, you can find cannabidiol oil in many cosmetic products. This type of consumption offers a soft and slow transmission of the active principles of the plant through the epidermis.
Nevertheless, for a faster effect, you can opt for a sublingual administration. Pour a few drops under your tongue with the pipette. Leave the product in your mouth for a few moments so that it can be absorbed by your mucous membranes. Afterwards, you can rinse your mouth by drinking a glass of water. The relaxing effects should occur within 10 minutes.
You can also consume CBD oil orally. To do this, simply pour a few drops into your food or drinks before ingesting. As explained earlier, with this method, the effects will take longer to appear since the CBD passes through your digestive system. However, the effects can easily last several hours.
Other cannabidiol products
The list of different ways of consumption goes hand in hand with the products that contain it, logical... Precisely, the list is not finished, you also find :
- CBD crystals: they look like sugar and are diluted in water or in an e-liquid ;
- CBD foods: these are chocolate, candy or drinks containing a certain level of cannabidiol. These are infused food products that you just have to ingest.
- CBD cosmetics: the idea is to apply a CBD cream in order to nourish the skin and to take advantage of the relaxing effect in order to achieve joint or muscle relaxation.
A little reminder about the consumption of CBD:
If CBD is the subject of legalization in our country, it is still subject to certain specific rules. You should know that whatever the rate of CBD used, the basic ingredients composing the products rich in CBD must not show a rate of THC higher than 0,2 %.
There are no plans to legalize cannabis, so smoking cannabis remains prohibited. Indeed, if the consumption of medical cannabis is legal, it is not the case for THC considered as a drug with harmful side effects on the body. So take the time to get the right information from a specialist before buying your CBD products.
